Dr. Darius A. Paduch was a urologist specializing in male infertility and reproductive health. He worked at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan between 2003-2019. He later went on to work at Northwell Health on Long Island from 2019 until his arrest in 2023.
Over many years starting around 2007, Paduch engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a number of his male patients, including some who were minors at the time of the abuse. The abuse happened under guise of regular medical exams, using his position as their doctor to make patients believe the contact was a normal part of treatment. Often these examinations were conducted without other staff present.
In 2023 he was arrested, found guilty in 2024 of charges connected with his actions and sentenced to life in prison.
